Summary

Chang, also known as 006, is a Chinese man in his early forties who hails from a life of poverty. Originally a farmer who ran a pig farm, his livelihood collapsed when the animals escaped, leaving him destitute and crushed by heavy taxation. Driven to despair, he attempted suicide by hanging, but was inadvertently rescued when Black Ghost shot the rope with a bullet. He was then taken to the Black Ghost laboratory. In the 2001 series adaptation, his background involves owning a restaurant, which accounts for his exceptional culinary skills; however, he loses everything after a fire-breathing stunt goes awry and the establishment burns down, leading Black Ghost agents to retrieve him after he faints. His cyborg abilities allow him to breathe massive flames and generate underground explosions to create tunnels or attack foes. Despite his traumatic past, Chang is a cheerful and sociable individual whose expert cooking and positive demeanor consistently lift the spirits of his teammates.
