Continues the story of Bakuman. Season 2
In *Bakuman. Season 2*, Akito Takagi and Moritaka Mashiro continue working together under the pen name Muto Ashirogi. Their manga, "Detective Trap," has been serialized, bringing them closer to their goal of becoming celebrated mangaka. For Mashiro, however, this is only the beginning, as he has promised to marry his childhood friend and aspiring seiyuu, Azuki Miho, once his manga gets an anime adaptation. To make this happen, they must raise the popularity of their work. Alongside them are a strong group of talented rivals, including the eccentric prodigy Eiji Niizuma, the refined Yuriko Aoki and her supportive partner Takurou Nakai, the indifferent yet gifted Kazuya Hiramaru, and the confrontational artist Shinta Fukuda. Each of these mangaka adds to the lively mix of competition and friendship surrounding Muto Ashirogi. Dealing with a new, inexperienced editor while keeping their manga serialized and moving up in Shounen Jack, Takagi and Mashiro are pushed by their goals and the hope of an anime adaptation.
