Continues the story of The Prince of Tennis II
In "The Prince of Tennis II," Ryouma Echizen joins forty-nine other top-ranked middle school tennis players selected for the Japan U-17 training camp, typically reserved for high school athletes. Initially, the older participants show disdain towards the younger entrants, who soon prove their mettle, prompting intervention from the coaching staff. The camp's structure is outlined, with participants allocated to one of sixteen courts based on skill level, with the most skilled on Court 1. Players can move between courts through pre-practice shuffle matches. To qualify for these matches, middle school players are paired, though they soon learn they'll compete individually rather than as doubles teams in a tiebreaker format. Winners continue to hone their abilities, while losers are dismissed from the program. As the competition escalates, the tension between middle and high school players deepens, making the fight to stay in the camp more than just about tennis.

After spending a month abroad, the Foreign Expedition Team returns to the Japan U-17 training camp. This group consists of twenty athletes whose skill and technique far surpass those of the other elite players at the camp. To prepare for their arrival, the coaching staff decides to select twenty top candidates for advanced training. Initially, only high school students are considered, but middle school students aim to challenge the players ranked from eleventh to twentieth to secure these spots. When the enigmatic Genius 10 make their appearance, the middle school students devise plans to claim these highly coveted positions. Unusual alliances are formed, combining their strengths to defeat the country's top ten players in a competition that tests intelligence, strategy, and talent, all in pursuit of representing Japan at the U-17 World Cup.
