Summary

Shiraishi Kuranosuke serves as the Captain of the Shitenhouji Chuu tennis team, a role that has earned him the moniker 'The Bible of Shitenhouji'. Heralded for his 'Perfect Tennis', he is an all-round player whose abilities are so exceptional that he was already competing at Singles 1 during his second year. His prowess was on full display when his team faced the eventual repeat Champions, Rikkai Daigaku Fuzoku, in the semi-finals of the National Tournament, providing the most difficult match of the entire event. He possesses a signature technique known as Entaku Sho, an unnamed shot that causes the ball to spin in a ring motion as it travels toward the opponent. Despite his reputation for perfection, Shiraishi personally dismisses the concept of perfect tennis as foolish. However, after his team was swept in the previous year’s Nationals, he came to the realization that winning is the ultimate objective, regardless of the style used. As Captain, he is willing to employ skills he finds boring if it ensures victory for his team. He is also the sole individual capable of placating Kintarou Tooyama, the team’s youngest and most volatile member. Due to a peculiar imagination fueled by a manga about monsters with poison claws, Kintarou harbors an irrational and childish fear of Shiraishi. Physically, Shiraishi stands 178cm tall and weighs 66kg. He is left-handed and was born on April 14 with Blood Type B. He often wears white bandages on his arm for an unknown reason, frequently attempting to remove them only to re-wrap them later. His daily routine includes yoga-style stretching after bathing, and he spends his allowance on health goods. Outside of tennis, he enjoys chess, health exercises, and botanical books, with a fondness for Korean movies, trance music, and cheese risotto. He is the Captain of the Health Committee and finds solace in the school infirmary. Academically, he excelled at Minami Umeda Elementary School and Chemistry, with no weak subjects. He possesses unique skills outside of tennis, such as identifying poisonous plants, and prefers dates at botanical gardens with partners whose hair smells of shampoo.
