Yukimura, Seiichi

Summary

Seiichi Yukimura serves as the third-year captain of Rikkai Dai, residing in Class 3-C as student number twenty-one. Born on March 5th under the Pisces sign, he stands 175cm tall and weighs 61kg, with type A blood and a dominant right hand. His preferred play style is that of an all-rounder, a versatility that has earned him the nickname "Child of God Yukimura" due to his unprecedented record of never losing a single game in the series. Alongside Vice Captain Genichirou Sanada and regular Renji Yanagi, he is recognized as one of the Three Demons of Rikkai Dai, having joined the regulars during their first year. Off the court, Yukimura possesses a delicate, almost feminine appearance that contrasts sharply with his stern, brutally honest demeanor during matches. Despite his pride and dignity, he is genuinely kind and friendly when not competing. He enjoys gardening and often visits the campus flowerbed or rooftop garden, with his favorite subjects being English, Mathematics, and Art. His family includes his father, a worker at an advertising company, his mother, his grandmother, and a younger sister. He favors grilled fish, pale blue, and healthy partners. Prior to the current school year, Yukimura collapsed and was hospitalized for Guillain-Barré syndrome, a neurological condition. During his stay, he shared the hospital with Kippei Tachibana of Fudomine, who was recovering from a leg injury. Following successful surgery after Rikkai Dai’s loss to Seigaku in the Kanto Finals, Yukimura returned to lead his team in the National Tournament, where they faced Seigaku in the finals. There, he competed against Echizen Ryoma in the singles 1 match. Yukimura is widely considered the best junior tennis player in Japan, surpassing even Seigaku’s Kunimitsu Tezuka, a belief reinforced by team members and the author Takeshi Konomi. Although Shusuke Fuji claims he has achieved Muga no Kyouchi, he has not utilized it in the anime or manga. His signature technique, Yips tennis, disrupts opponents' senses, causing them to lose feeling, sight, and hearing until they cease moving. He effortlessly countered all of Echizen’s special moves, including those from a Muga no Kyouchi state, which were thought to be unreturnable. He was eventually defeated by Echizen, who reached the Pinnacle of Perfection. In the sequel New Prince of Tennis, Yukimura again demonstrated his dominance by defeating Sanada 7-1 in a tie-break during the selection process.
