Captain Tsubasa (2018)

Synopsis

In the 2018 rendition of "Captain Tsubasa," the story follows Tsubasa Oozora, an eleven-year-old elementary school boy whose existence is defined by a deep passion for soccer. From a very young age, Tsubasa has dedicated himself to football, turning what began as a simple hobby for others into an all-consuming dream. To chase his aspirations during his elementary school years, Tsubasa moves with his mother to Nankatsu City, an area famous for its outstanding elementary school soccer teams. Although he was the star player in his previous town, the level of competition in Nankatsu is intense, forcing Tsubasa to rely on every bit of his skill and natural talent to stand out. Throughout his journey, Tsubasa meets both rivals and friends, such as the spirited Sanae Nakazawa and the talented goalkeeper Genzo Wakabayashi, who share Tsubasa's love for the game and will become important allies on his road to success. His ultimate goal is to represent Japan in the FIFA World Cup, but achieving that dream will require more than just raw ability.
