Synopsis

Continues the story of Slayers Try

A magical barrier created by demons has kept its inhabitants isolated from the outside world for nearly a thousand years. With the barrier now destroyed, various kingdoms are eager to explore these previously inaccessible regions. To assist in this effort, they form a peace delegation to make contact with the people in this newly opened territory. Meanwhile, the young sorceress Lina Inverse is approached by a mysterious individual named Filia ul Copt. When they meet, Filia expresses her desire to hire Lina and her crew for a mission to the outside world, citing their legendary past accomplishments. However, she first insists on witnessing their abilities by challenging them to defeat a dragon in the city center. After proving themselves, Lina and her group set out on an expedition into the unexplored lands, encountering many adventures and confronting a disturbing prophecy along the way.

In this installment

Following their previous battle in which the Sword of Light was lost, Lina and Gourry continue their journey seeking a new weapon. During their travels, they encounter Amelia and Zelgadis in Luvinagard, where the group is entertaining themselves by harassing some pirates. Lina is pleased to reunite with her old companions, though her reunion is complicated by the arrival of Wizer, an Inspector from Luvinagard's Special Investigative Unit. His unusual demeanor sparks Lina's curiosity.
