In "Natsume's Book of Friends Movie: Ephemeral Bond," Takashi Natsume and his feline spirit companion Nyanko continue their task of returning the names of spirits recorded in the Book of Friends, an inheritance from his late grandmother, Reiko Natsume. One afternoon, Takashi encounters a wandering spirit named Monmonbou, who recognizes his grandmother's name and shares memories of her. Driven by curiosity, Takashi travels to a secluded town linked to his grandmother's history. There, he forms a bond with Yorie Tsumura, one of his grandmother's old acquaintances, and her son Mukuo, gaining insights into Reiko's past. Meanwhile, Nyanko wanders off in search of food and discovers a peculiar "Spirit Seed." Overnight, the seed grows into a fruit-bearing tree, and unable to resist, Nyanko eats the fruit, resulting in his split into three separate entities. To reverse this unusual transformation, Takashi and his new companions work together, unraveling further mysteries within the town.

In May 2018, V-Jump announced a promotional anime for Dragon Ball Heroes, a Japanese arcade and trading card game. For Western players, the video game was also released on Nintendo Switch, while the card game was called "Dragon Ball Super TCG" in the West, merging with an existing Japanese card game under the same name. The anime, which was planned as a short series not broadcast on television, adapts the Prison Planet Arc from the game, as well as the manga-exclusive arcs "Big Bang Mission" and "Ultra God Mission." These storylines originally appeared in the Heroes manga in Saikyou Jump but belong to two separate canons. They have not yet received official English translations. The first episode premiered on July 1, 2018, at Aeon Lake Town.

He then guides them to the final arena, where the two Sabers will clash in a decisive battle that will decide humanity's fate.

The Yuragi-sou no Yuuna-san OVA series is included with the eleventh, twelfth, thirteenth, and twenty-fourth manga volumes. The initial OVA episode covers the twelfth manga chapter. The final OVA episode features adaptations of the ninety-ninth chapter, "Noroware no Kogarashi," and the one hundred and forty-first chapter, "Giri Giri!? Onsen Happening."

The second season of Ani ni Tsukeru Kusuri wa Nai! once again focuses on the daily clashes between Shi Miao and her brother Shi Fen. Despite having little knowledge about Pokémon, Kagachi makes a deal with the introverted scientist Torito for help with his public speaking. In Beatless Final Stage, Arato Endou and his hIE companion Lacia join forces to demonstrate that even highly advanced artificial intelligence can be rendered harmless. They venture into the facility to confront Higgins, Lacia’s creator, and face numerous obstacles, including Snowdrop, a rogue hIE intent on consuming Higgins, and Methode, another hIE driven by a desire for vengeance against Lacia. When a violent storm hits, their father vanishes into the river, forcing the two to set out on a dangerous quest to find him. Their path through treacherous waters is filled with threats, such as hungry flesh-eating piranhas. In a carefully monitored hospital room, a young boy named Shun struggles in pain after eating eggs. Born with a severe egg allergy, Shun deals with his own carelessness, which causes many close calls and frustration for both him and his mother, who works every day to keep him safe from the allergen. With strong determination, Shun finds a way to get through life's difficulties even though eggs are always a danger. An invisible man starts his usual day by putting on clothes and carrying a fire extinguisher to help him stay steady in the physical world. Even though he is part of the real world, no one notices him. This changes when he meets a kind blind person during a fierce storm, someone who may show him the meaning of his lonely life.

Included with the fifth volume of the Kekkai Sensen: Back 2 Back manga, this 24-minute OVA adapts two distinct stories. The first segment, "Zapp Renfro Inga Oohou-juu!!," is based on a chapter from volume four, while the second, "Bakkaadio no Shizuku," draws from a chapter in volume two.
