Synopsis
In "Golden Kamuy: The Bodyguards of Barato/Terror! The Mysterious Giant Bird," Private Hyakunosuke Ogata of the 7th Division and former Shinsengumi Vice Commander Toshizou Hijikata end up on opposing sides of a gang clash in Barato. They learn that the Hidoro gang may hold the tattooed skin of an escaped prisoner, potentially bringing them nearer to the concealed Ainu gold. Driven by their desire to obtain this crucial lead, they dive headfirst into the conflict. Yet, a treacherous act compels every group to rethink their rash decisions.

Golden Kamuy OVA is an original animation bundled with the 15th volume of the Golden Kamuy manga. The animation takes place during the events of the final episode of season one, but follows Hyakunosuke Ogata and Toshizou Hijikata.
