In the Magic Kingdom, Princess Erika must test a magical invention she created by using it on her counterpart in the human world for one full year—succeeding will secure her place as the future ruler. That counterpart is Himeko, a tomboy worried that her boyish appearance and behavior are ruining her chances with the boy she likes. Erika gives Himeko a ribbon that allows her to transform into anyone she desires for up to an hour. If Himeko exceeds this time limit or is discovered while transformed, she will remain permanently in that form.
