In the follow-up to Kengan Ashura, two years have passed. Narushima Kouga, a young man who aims to step into the Kengan arena, sets out to find Tokita Ouma, though his reasons for doing so are not yet clear. While working under Yamashita Kazuo, Kouga encounters Gaou Ryuuki, a fighter who looks remarkably similar to Ouma. As conflict grows between the Kengan Association and its opposing underground fighting organization, Purgatory, Kouga must hone his abilities in order to become a strong contender in the elite Kengan matches.
