Gorou Saruwatari and Lostman have climbed many of the world's tallest mountains. While standing at the summit of Mount Everest, they catch sight of the ISA Space Station above them and decide that their next goal is to reach space. Around the same time, NASA launches a program to study and secure a new energy source that has been discovered on the moon. The two friends try to get into the program through different paths: Lostman becomes a pilot, while Gorou takes on a job as a construction worker. The series originally wrapped up with 23 volumes and 206 chapters on 2011-11-25, but on 2022-12-23 the author announced volume 24, stating the intention to continue publishing on an irregular schedule.
