The Hwan-Woong dynasty is in turmoil. General Hae-Mo-Soo has seized control of most of the land. Prince Chi-Woo, the ruler of the Hwan-Woong dynasty, has fallen into such a deep depression from the hardships endured during the Revolution that he has become nearly non-functional. In this state, the prince is found by Gat, a peasant and close friend. Gat rescues Ghi-Woo from General Hae-Mo-Soo's men, but the danger is far from over. Though both Hae-Mo-Soo and Shi-Woo lay claim to power, only one can rule the land. Gat and Chi-Woo set out on their journey together, enduring heartache and hardship as they strive to reclaim the prince's rightful place on the throne.

Gadirok had two volumes published in English as Gadirok: Requiem Chorus by ADV Manga from July 2, 2004 to February 22, 2005 before the license was dropped and the publisher went defunct.
