In "Sgt. Frog," Sergeant Keroro—a frog-like alien hailing from the 58th Planet of the Gamma Storm Cloud System—leads the Space Invasion Forces Special Advance Team. His mission involves gathering intelligence on Earth, which his species calls Pokopen, for a future invasion. After his spacecraft crashes on the planet, Keroro takes shelter at the Hinata household. The Hinata children, Fuyuki and Natsume, discover his presence and confiscate his alien equipment. Once his kind learns that Keroro has been seen by humans, they abandon him, forcing him to fend for himself in this unfamiliar world. However, Keroro is not completely alone; three other pre-invasion agents remain hidden on Earth as well.
