Summary
Within Section 9, Saitou stands out as one of the members with the least amount of cybernetic augmentation. While he demonstrates deadly accuracy and precision with any automatic firearm, his designated role is that of the unit’s tactical sniper. His left eye has been replaced by the Hawkeye, a prosthetic device that interfaces with satellites to enable shots of incredible precision. Additionally, he is highly valued for his ability to think like enemy snipers; on two separate occasions, his skill in determining sniping locations significantly influenced the actions taken by Section 9.
