In *Urusei Yatsura*, Ataru Moroboshi is an ordinary high school student cursed with terrible luck and an incorrigible tendency to flirt with every girl he sees. When the Oni, an alien race, invade Earth, Ataru is unexpectedly chosen to face one of them in a symbolic competition. To his surprise, the contest is nothing more than a game of tag, and his opponent is Lum, the daughter of the Oni leader. He stays as a guest at sweet Akane's house and is in love with her, but faces a strange rival in her dog Salomone (Italian name), who devises evil traps to hinder Kappei. The dog also serves another purpose: he explains all sport rules whenever a new sport is introduced. Kappei has a fondness for white female underwear and is always trying to lift girls' skirts up.

Chie the Brat, released in 1981 under Takahata's direction, is based on the wildly popular manga by Etsumi HARUKI. Mai Machiko is the newest teacher at Asama Elementary; she's young, beautiful, and has the perfect proportions—traits that attract the attention of not only her students, but the rest of the perverted faculty as well. Whether it's luring her in and spraying up her skirt with a hose or leaping and bounding to grab her breasts, there's nothing that Machiko's first-year students won't try to do. Regardless of her embarrassing plight, Machiko is always a good sport and tries her best to help out her students—at any cost to her dignity.

After a meteor strike, a new energy source called Beamler is discovered, powering the combat robot GoShogun and the teleporting fortress Good Thunder. The Docougar Crime Syndicate, led by the criminal mastermind Neo Neros, tries to learn the secrets of Beamler from GoShogun's creator. To prevent this, the inventor kills himself. Neo Neros then targets the inventor's son, but the boy is rescued and taken aboard Good Thunder, where he joins the crew in their global fight against Neo Neros's forces with GoShogun's aid.

A junior high school student named Aiko Morimura stands shorter than many of her classmates and has been through a string of misfortunes. Her father left on a yacht ten years ago and has not been heard from since, while her mother, who designs hats, moved to Paris and left Aiko in the care of her uncle, Mr. Fujinami. Aiko once had a pet dog named Papi, but the dog was tragically killed in a car accident. Soon after that loss, a new dog called Spank showed up at Aiko's doorstep. Spank's presence gradually helps raise Aiko's spirits and reintroduce happiness into her daily life.

Dr. Slump has feelings for Ms. Yamabuki but can't bring himself to confess. One day, they come across a videotape left by Dr. Slump's father, which explains how to make a special medicine. Anyone who takes it will fall in love with Dr. Slump. (What a wonderful father!) The recipe calls for Dr. Slump's nose dirt and the tears of King Gyasuka. (How disgusting! Does it even work?) Anyway, Dr. Slump builds a vehicle called PingPong and heads to Under Island, where the Great Evil King Gyasuka supposedly lives. Dr. Slump is so unreliable that he mistakes a hair dryer for a ray gun. But with the powerful Arale and Gaccahn by his side, there's nothing to fear. So, will his wish come true?

In a world where the relentless pursuit of power spans countless ages, the story is set in the kingdom of Fir antic, contested by two royal families for the throne. To secure their rule, one house must journey across different eras to locate the mythical Firebird, with the victor claiming sovereignty over Fir antic. The narrative begins in the present day at the lackluster Ace Detective Agency, where detectives Paul Tuck and Tracy Headly pass the time reading magazines due to a shortage of cases. Their monotonous routine is broken by the abrupt arrival of a mysterious girl dressed in strange clothing. She declares, "Yes, I come from another time. In the future, the two of you will marry, and I am your descendant, many generations later." Introducing herself as Princess Sara of Fir antic, she demonstrates her telepathic abilities and discloses their destined marriage. More astonishing is her mission to find the Firebird using a Time Tunnel. Feeling obligated to secure their descendant's future, Paul and Tracy agree to assist Sara in her quest, even though she is unsure of its location. Her sole clue is that Princess Miranda and her followers have also traveled to their era. With Sara guiding them through her telepathic powers, the trio sets out to track down Miranda, who possesses vital knowledge about the Firebird's whereabouts.

Jarinko Chie is a television series that followed a 1981 film directed by Takahata. Based on Etsumi HARUKI's highly popular manga, the story centers on Chie, a ten-year-old girl called "the most unlucky girl in Japan." She runs her family's diner while her unemployed yakuza father and her mother live apart. Despite this grim premise, the show is a lighthearted comedy. Set in Osaka, a city with a culture distinct from Tokyo's, the TV series was created after the film's success, with Takahata serving as the chief director.

The narrative of "21 Emon Uchuu e Irasshai!" focuses on 21 Emon, a young man responsible for operating his family's hotel. As he confronts various obstacles, he gets help from his robot companion Gonsuke and the diminutive alien Monga.

In 1953, the Tokiwa apartment building was home to a group of gifted artists. This group included Hiro Terada, Motoo Abiko, Hiroshi Fujimoto, Shotaro Ishinomori, and Fujio Akatsuka. These up-and-coming manga creators encountered many hardships, such as financial troubles, difficulty winning over editors, and trouble attracting romantic partners.
