Synopsis

Once a popular middle schooler with devoted friends and a girlfriend, Takemichi Hanagaki has spent the last twelve years as a disrespected, apologetic nobody drowning in mockery and regret. His despair deepens upon learning that his ex-girlfriend and her brother were murdered by the infamous Tokyo Manji Gang. As he contemplates suicide by stepping in front of a train, Takemichi is suddenly thrust back in time to the day he last saw Hinata Tachibana. In this temporal loop, he meets Hinata's younger brother and, driven by desperation, warns him of his impending doom. Immediately after, he is inexplicably returned to the present, discovering he is alive and that the future has shifted. Realizing he can manipulate time, Takemichi views this ability as his sole opportunity to prevent Hinata's tragic death at the hands of the Tokyo Manji Gang. Determined to alter the course of events, he embarks on a mission to change history.

In Tokyo Revengers: Christmas Showdown, despite Takemichi Hanagaki's relentless attempts to travel back in time, he cannot prevent the death of Hinata Tachibana, his middle school crush from years ago. As an adult, Takemichi struggles with the pain of her loss and the growing criminal activity of the Tokyo Manji gang, a direct result of his interference with the timeline. Once led by the visionary Manjirou "Mikey" Sano, the gang now falls under the control of the malicious Tetta Kisaki, who has abandoned their original noble goals. Though filled with despair, Takemichi remains determined and travels back in time once more to investigate the rival biker gang Black Dragon, whose actions ultimately lead to Hinata's death. During this period, he meets Hakkai Shiba, a Tokyo Manji member whose older brother Taiju rules Black Dragon with brutal authority. After suffering a severe beating in a one-sided street fight against Taiju, Hakkai considers leaving Tokyo Manji as a form of atonement, a choice Takemichi must prevent to stop Hakkai from facing a grim fate. A shared tragedy brings Takemichi closer to Chifuyu Matsuno, forging a strong bond that both young men urgently need. With Chifuyu's support, Takemichi works to uncover the fates of Black Dragon's members, striving to secure a brighter future for those he holds dear.
