Grim, a mischievous monster resembling a cat who was admitted to Night Raven College under unusual circumstances, looks back on the notable events and fellow students he encountered during his first year of training to become a great magician.

Over the course of a year, a student at the magical Night Raven College keeps recording their everyday life on campus. Those pictures hold treasured moments and recognizable people, and at times, the photographs appear to come alive with the motion of moving pictures.
