Synopsis

Continues the story of Durarara!! x2 Shou

Although Ikebukuro has seemingly returned to a state of calm, bizarre occurrences have become the new normal. The police remain on the trail of Celty Sturluson, the Headless Rider, while a hefty bounty on her head draws various gangs into the pursuit of this supernatural entity. At the same time, Mikado Ryuugamine confronts Aoba Kuronuma, a mysterious kohai with concealed intentions who appears to know Mikado's secret identity. This fragile peace is short-lived, however, with the arrival of a fresh menace: a serial killer known as "Hollywood" who swaps masks with every crime. As these disparate incidents begin to intertwine, Ikebukuro is plunged back into turmoil, teetering on the brink of total chaos.

In Ikebukuro, the fates of its residents remain intertwined. Mikado Ryuugamine moves closer to his desire for an exciting life as he explores the city's darker side. Having taken full control of a former enemy, he uses this new power to reshape the Dollars according to his own vision, cleansing them from within. But this task is difficult due to unwelcome outside interference and the return of a long-absent friend. Meanwhile, Izaya Orihara continues his machinations, though a rival information network in the beloved downtown area poses a serious threat. It is inevitable that chaos will once again descend on the neighborhood.
