Orihara, Mairu
Summary
Mairu is one of Izaya’s younger sisters and shares a twin bond with Kururi. Like her brother, she causes trouble at school, introducing herself as a fan of encyclopedias, manga, and adult magazines. She openly declares her bisexuality and expresses interest in finding girls, which stirs up the class and leads to brief bullying. She retaliates by threatening a bully with thumbtacks, stealing her bra in the bathroom, and later allegedly framing the bullies for drug possession by planting drugs in their backpacks. After Kururi kisses Aoba, Mairu follows suit, claiming she was happy to receive an indirect kiss from her sister. Both sisters are huge fans of Kasuka, Shizuo’s brother, with Mairu stating she would even push Izaya in front of a truck for a chance to meet him.
