Synopsis
A city called Sakurashin, protected by the Seven Pillars' magic, acts as a bridge between the human world and the youkai realm in Yozakura Quartet. Although most youkai—often possessing animal features and supernatural powers—live in their own dimension, some have crossed over. The Hizumi Life Counseling Office in Sakurashin is run by Akina Hiizumi, a young man with the ability known as "tuning," which can permanently banish harmful youkai back to their own world. Akina is joined by three allies: Hime Yarizakura, the 16-year-old youkai mayor; Ao Nanami, the town announcer who can read minds; and Kotoha Isone, a half-youkai able to conjure objects simply by speaking their names. As new inhabitants arrive and strange incidents occur, this group of protectors and their close companions must defend Sakurashin and preserve the delicate harmony between humans and youkai.
