Summary
Kotoha Isone is a sixteen-year-old high school student who transformed into a Hanyou, a hybrid of human and youkai, after being possessed by a youkai during her early childhood. As a Kotodama tsukai, she possesses the ability to summon objects and weapons by emphasizing specific words, though complex items require lengthy incantations. Kotoha is an avid gun enthusiast, a trait highlighted in the first chapter of the manga. Her passion for weaponry led her to travel to Germany specifically to visit the Koblenz Museum of Military Technology to view its tank and arms collection. She is also recognized by her peers as an excellent singer. Although she wears glasses, she claims they serve merely as a decorative accessory. Her romantic interests are exclusively directed toward girls, a detail made evident in the tenth chapter when she is the only female character besides Gin to skip a party. In combat, Kotoha tends to become overly aggressive when angered. For instance, when Hime accidentally destroyed her plane ticket to Germany during a training session, Kotoha retaliated by summoning an Acht, a German FLAK 36.88 mm cannon, and firing at her friend. After her companions intervened, she realized the extent of the damage and offered an apology. Additionally, overusing her powers can cause her to temporarily lose her voice.
