Looking Up At The Half-Moon

Synopsis

Ezaki Yuuichi is stuck in a hospital ward after contracting hepatitis A, cut off from his friends and family, which frustrates him to no end. To fight off the boredom, he regularly slips out of the facility—a habit that usually earns him a beating from his nurse. His routine changes when he meets Akiba Rika, a girl his age staying in the same hospital, and he is instantly drawn to her looks. Her personality, however, is far less charming: Rika is self-centered, temperamental, and domineering. Still, as the two spend more time together, they grow close, sharing the simple joys and struggles of young love—even as a dark cloud hangs over them, because Rika's illness leaves her with very little time left.
