Summary
Akiko Tanizaki is the nurse responsible for caring for Yūichi. Though she is a tough individual who is not afraid to physically discipline or mock Yūichi when he warrants it, she possesses a softer side and genuinely cares for her patients. She is particularly invested in the bond between Yūichi and Rika, aware that Rika’s life may be drawing to a close.
