Synopsis
At the 1600 Battle of Sekigahara, Toyohisa Shimazu commands the rearguard of his retreating forces until he sustains a critical injury. He awakens in a stark, futuristic white corridor where he encounters a composed individual named Murasaki, who guides him through one of many doors into a mysterious realm populated by mythical creatures and historical figures long thought deceased. Toyohisa quickly forges an alliance with the notorious warlord Nobunaga Oda and the renowned archer Yoichi Suketaka Nasu. Together, they discover that this world is ravaged by political strife. The trio learns they have been summoned as Drifters to oppose the Ends, the force responsible for establishing the Orte Empire and seeking the Drifters' destruction. As the Ends' influence expands, the Empire intensifies its oppression of elves and other demihumans. Toyohisa and his diverse band of heroes now face a new global conflict: liberating the Empire's subjugated populations while battling the Ends, who strive to seize total control of the land.
