Synopsis
In the world of Auldrant, the Score—ancient prophecies considered unchangeable destiny—dictate people's lives and steer their actions, even when they cause conflict and suffering. The nations of Kimlasca-Lanvaldear and the Malkuth Empire wage war using Fonic Arts, magical abilities, driven by their hopes of reaching the utopia foretold by the Score. "Tales of the Abyss" focuses on Luke von Fabre, who has been confined to his estate ever since losing his memory in a kidnapping during his childhood. One day, while practicing with his sword, Luke meets Tear, who is trying to kill his guardian. During the scuffle, both are unexpectedly teleported to a distant part of the world. Their journey to return home soon transforms into a vital mission that could either free the world from the Score's control or bring about its total ruin.
