Shigeo Kageyama, an eighth-grader known as Mob, discovered his immense psychic abilities early in life. Recognizing the inherent dangers of such power, he chose to suppress it, using his talents solely to woo Tsubomi, a girl he has long admired, though her interest quickly fades. Seeking guidance, Mob joins the agency of Arataka Reigen, a fraudulent psychic who manipulates Mob’s powers for small profits. This arrangement turns the exorcism of spirits into a routine part of his dull existence.
