In "Bungo Stray Dogs 5," the Armed Detective Agency continues fleeing from the Hunting Dogs, though a small glimmer of hope remains. Detective Ranpo Edogawa devises a strategy to clear the Agency's name and prevent a global catastrophe by locating and apprehending Kamui, the leader of the extremist group Decay of the Angel. Even though he's only sat next to her for three days and never had a real conversation, Komura still hopes Mie will notice him. One day, Komura sees Mie isn't wearing her glasses. When he asks, she says she forgot them at home, and it happens often. Seeing her struggle, Komura helps her because he genuinely cares. Anon doesn't know that Tomori used to be in CRYCHIC and still has emotional wounds from that time. Tomori introduces Anon to Taki Shiina and Soyo Nagasaki, who were also in CRYCHIC. Taki doesn't want to play music with Anon, but Soyo is encouraging and willing to help. With Soyo's support, Anon's dream of starting a band gets closer to coming true—if she can just find a couple more members.
