Synopsis
A decade ago, a volcanic eruption nearly destroyed Japan's Ayaka Islands. Yukito Yanagi, who had been living with foster families on the mainland, retreated into isolation after a troubling event. Honoring his late father Makoto’s wishes, Yukito returns to his hometown on the day he graduates middle school. There, he meets Makoto’s disciples and discovers the area’s supernatural nature. Mysterious entities called Mitama reside on the islands, but their ability to consume negative human energy and mutate into violent Ara-Mitama threatens the local population. Yukito learns he is a Ley Master, like his father, possessing magical-like powers to subdue these Ara-Mitama. As he manages his trauma and masters his abilities, Yukito chooses to become a top-tier Ley Master to safeguard the tranquility of Ayaka.
