Five years following his victory at the World Martial Arts tournament, Gokuu enjoys a tranquil existence alongside his wife and child. That peace is shattered by the sudden appearance of a stranger named Raditz, who claims to be Gokuu's older brother. Raditz reveals that Gokuu belongs to the Saiyan race, once mighty but nearly extinct after their home planet was destroyed. Sent to Earth as an infant with the mission to conquer and annihilate the planet, Gokuu's brutal instincts were erased by a head injury that caused amnesia; instead, he grew up gentle and polite, now using his strength to defend others. After failing to forcibly recruit Gokuu as an ally, Raditz warns his friends of an imminent danger rapidly approaching Earth—one that will ignite an interstellar war and make the very heavens tremble. A conflict over the seven mystical Dragon Balls, magical artifacts capable of granting any desire, is about to erupt. Only the strongest will endure.

In the year 2025 A.D., the narrative centers on Star Saber, renowned as the galaxy’s most powerful Autobot warrior and its supreme swordsman. The Decepticons’ new leader, Emperor of Destruction Deathsaurus, seeks the energy required to liberate his colossal Planet-Destroying Fortress, which Star Saber had imprisoned in the Dark Nebula years prior. To obtain this power, Deathsaurus launches an invasion of Earth using his Dinoforce, compelling Star Saber and his team to relocate to the planet.

In a future where the moon has become a livable world with its own atmosphere and gravity, it serves as a popular tourist destination. Whispers circulate about long-eared, rabbit-like beings inhabiting the moon who possess magical abilities. Hoping to catch a glimpse of these creatures, Haruka Daichi travels to the moon alone during his summer break. To free the Mado King and the "long ears" race's realm, Rabiluna, from the Jado's grip, the "long ears" and Daichi must locate three warriors capable of wielding magic.

In the year 199X AD, three Dragonite bodies appear in Kushiro, Hokkaido. Possessing overwhelming destructive power, they attack the city and also awaken the evil Jashin Drago from the holy seal that held him captive. Two centuries ago, a holy warrior bearing the tattooed mark of the Liger trapped Drago in that seal. Believing the warrior to be dead, Drago and Empress Zara now plot to conquer Earth with their army of biomechanical beasts. Even the Japan Self-Defense Forces prove helpless against the Dragonites' fearsome might. Among the fleeing civilians is the protagonist, a timid sixteen-year-old boy named Ken Taiga. Unbeknownst to the Dragonites, Ken discovers he is the descendant of the Liger warrior! In a surge of anger, his Liger birthmark appears, and he raises his palm to the sky, shouting the henshin command, "LIGER!!!"—which then envelops him in demonic, long-haired biomechanical armor. Ken transforms into Jushin Liger to battle the evil forces of the Dragonite!

Demons are beginning their age. Doctor Faust predicts this surge of wickedness, but he is close to death and cannot fight the looming menace himself. He gives a boy named Shingo Yamada the duty of cleansing Earth from this new evil. Faust spots a mark on Shingo's forehead that proves he is the destined demon slayer. From hell, Faust summons what could be humanity's last chance for survival: a reluctant devil called Mephisto emerges. After sealing a blood pact to protect humanity, Shingo and Mephisto head out to confront the supernatural realm.

The Giants appear to be on the verge of winning the league title—until the arrival of the mysterious Don Carlos, a Spanish former bullfighter playing for the Hiroshima Toyo Carp, who seems to share a past with Doumu's father. Can Doumu lead the Giants to victory?
