In "Kakushigoto: My Dad's Secret Ambition," ten-year-old Hime Gotou, full of energy, watches her father Kakushi Gotou put on a suit each morning and head out, believing he goes to an office job. Once she's not looking, Kakushi changes into worn-out casual clothes. As a single parent, Kakushi hides a major secret: he is a famous creator of comedy manga, but his work is known for being crude and suggestive. This pushes him to go to great lengths so his unsuspecting daughter never finds out about his creations. Haunted by the worry that Hime might stop looking up to him, Kakushi gets help from her teacher and his exhausted editors to keep up this complicated lie. Even as funny situations play out, hints of a more serious secret from the Gotou family's past begin to surface.
