Motochika Narasaki shares a crowded home with his two younger brothers, leaving him little room to himself. Persuaded by his teacher, he reluctantly takes a job in the school library during evenings, hoping for some quiet. To his surprise, he ends up sharing the shift with Natsuki Terashima, a student known around school as a troublemaker. At first, Narasaki thinks they have nothing in common, but as they spend quiet evenings reading together, he starts seeing Terashima in a different light. Over time, an unexpected bond develops between them. But their shared time in the library ends with the summer break, forcing Narasaki to consider what this period and his growing connection with Terashima truly mean.
