Magic Knight Rayearth
魔法騎士〈マジックナイト〉レイアース
Three ordinary high school girls—Hikaru Shidou, Umi Ryuuzaki, and Fuu Hououji—meet by chance at Tokyo Tower. They hear a mysterious call for help and are transported to the magical land of Cephiro. There, they meet Guru Clef, a young-looking wizard, who tells them they have been chosen as the legendary Magic Knights to save Princess Emeraude and Cephiro from destruction. Hikaru is excited by the adventure, while Umi and Fuu want to go home. Clef explains that their only way back is to defeat the evil Lord Zagato and free Princess Emeraude. To do this, they must awaken the powerful beings known as Rune Gods. Clef gives them enchanted armor and magical powers, and they face an attack from one of Zagato's servants. He then sends them to the armorer Presea and the rabbit-like guide Mokona to prepare for their mission. Despite the difficult journey ahead, Hikaru, Umi, and Fuu promise to prove themselves as worthy Magic Knights and bring peace back to Cephiro.
