During a tense confrontation, shoujo manga creator Gou Okazaki bursts into the apartment of his assistant and colleague, Yusuke Akune, and discovers Akune in bed with another man. Shocked, Gou demands to know why Akune, whom he assumed was straight, hid his sexuality. Akune calmly responds that there was no need to share it. Their working relationship continues unchanged, but Gou grows increasingly curious about Akune’s private life. To celebrate Gou’s ten-year career milestone, his editor suggests he step outside his comfort zone and create a boys' love manga. With Akune’s help, Gou begins designing the characters, but their romance lacks emotional depth, leading the editor to reject the initial proposal. Since Gou has never experienced love, he pretends to develop a one-sided crush on Akune in order to grasp the emotional nuances needed for his story. Unbeknownst to him, this fabricated feeling begins to blur with reality, complicating Gou’s true emotions toward Akune.
