Summary

Shota Aizawa serves as the homeroom teacher for Class 1-A at U.A. Although he appears perpetually exhausted, he values efficiency and despises wasting time. As the Hero Eraserhead, his Quirk, Erasure, allows him to nullify other people's abilities as long as he maintains line of sight. Because blinking deactivates his power, he wears goggles to hide his target from enemies, creating confusion. Overusing Erasure leads to dry eyes, rendering him unable to activate the Quirk for a period afterward. Driven primarily by logic, Aizawa pays little attention to his appearance and communicates with blunt, flat affect. He states his beliefs without reservation, often coming across as cold and apathetic due to his low energy. He sometimes allows his students to resolve issues on their own. Despite this demeanor, he genuinely cares for his students and will go to great lengths to protect them from danger. He reacted swiftly to the Villain attacks at the USJ and during the Field Trip lodge incident, and has frequently expressed his faith in his students' potential.
