Summary

Touma Kamijou is the protagonist of the series, a 15-to-16-year-old student standing 168 cm tall. He holds the lowest possible psychic rank, Level 0, primarily because testers cannot detect or classify his powers. His unique capability, Imagine Breaker, negates all magic, psychic, and divine forces, though it also cancels out his own good fortune. The founder of Academy City classifies him as a normal person rather than an Esper or Magician. Despite his desire to avoid trouble, Touma has a strong, albeit somewhat shallow and dogmatic, sense of justice. He is academically smart yet fails in his esper studies. While he remains an idealist regarding others' hopes, he is ironically cynical about himself, likely due to his powers. His dream is to return home smiling, having lost nothing.
