Born on March 27th under the Aries sign, Izuru Kira stands 173 cm tall and weighs 56 kg. Orphaned at a young age while belonging to a family of lesser nobility, he formed close bonds during his time at the Shinigami Academy with Momo Hinamori, Renji Abarai, and Shūhei Hisagi. Following graduation, Kira was assigned to the 5th Division alongside Renji and Momo, remaining there until Gin Ichimaru assumed command of the 3rd Division. Kira’s defining trait is an unwavering loyalty to both his comrades and his duties, a quality that sometimes borders on self-destructive. This is most evident in his relationship with Momo Hinamori; even while she is consumed by grief and rage following the apparent death of her captain, Kira remains steadfast in his duty to protect his own superior. He subsequently refers to himself as a monster for drawing his blade against her, highlighting the internal conflict between his personal affections and his sense of obligation. His Zanpakutou, Wabisuke, is activated by the command "Raise your head," which causes the blade to bend into a square hook shape. The ability exponentially doubles the weight of anything it strikes, affecting both living beings and inanimate objects. While this power may seem disadvantageous in direct sword combat, its cumulative nature quickly becomes overwhelming. After just seven or eight strikes, opponents find their own weapons too heavy to lift. As the weight becomes crushing, foes typically collapse to their knees with their heads bowed in defeat, a posture that mirrors the act of apologizing and serves as the inspiration for the weapon's name.
