A collection of seven animated short films produced by Studio 4°C: 1.) Genius Party (directed by Atsuko Fukushima) A strange, bird-like creature dashes across a lifeless desert and stumbles upon what appears to be a smiling egg resting on the ground. 2.) Shanghai Dragon (directed by Shouji Kawamori) A creative young boy from China discovers a futuristic gadget that brings his own drawings to life. After he finds the device, the town he lives in faces an invasion by spaceships and colossal war machines that are hundreds of years ahead of Earth's technology. 3.) Deathtic 4 (directed by Shinji Kimura) A story set in a world overrun by zombies who live their own ordinary zombie lives. A living frog falls from the darkened sky of this zombie realm, and a small zombie boy, together with his friends, attempts to return the creature to its own world. 4.) Doorbell (directed by Youji Fukuyama) The protagonist is a ghost inhabiting his own dimension. He must flee from alternate versions of himself, or else they will seize control of his existence. 5.) Limit Cycle (directed by Hideki Futamura) An existential exploration of reality as experienced by a man who appears to be caught in an unending loop of labor. 6.) Happy Machine (directed by Masaaki Yuasa) A baby, safely content in their own nursery, suddenly realizes that everything around them is artificial. The infant is soon cast out of the nursery into the outside world, where adventure awaits and many alien-like creatures are encountered. 7.) Baby Blue (directed by Shinichirou Watanabe) A small-scale adventure involving two young students who decide to travel anywhere they can for just one day, living that day without concern for anything else, simply to be together.
