In this installment

High school student Hajime Kindaichi, who is claimed to be the grandson of the renowned detective Kosuke Kindaichi, travels to Hong Kong with his girlfriend Miyuki for a fashion event. Their trip suddenly changes course when Miyuki is abducted by someone who confuses her with a different person. This unforeseen development forces Hajime to begin a criminal investigation to rescue Miyuki.
