Summary
Reika Hayami is a renowned actress and singer who debuts in the "Death TV" case. Although she initially projects an arrogant demeanor, it is later revealed that she is actually weak and desperate for protection. Following this incident, Reika develops a crush on Kinda'ichi, sending him her only Valentine's Day gift, a heart-shaped chocolate, without disclosing her identity. This action establishes a rivalry between her and Miyuki over Kinda'ichi's affections. In the "Playing the Fool" case, Reika’s past, which she herself had forgotten, is uncovered. The "Reika's Kidnapping" case exposes that her biological mother is veteran actress Keiko Mitamura; however, Reika remains unaware of this fact throughout the series, with the truth kept secret by only Keiko and Kinda'ichi.
