The veterans carry the weight of past defeats as they push through relentless training, preparing for what is sure to be their most grueling season yet. Rivals both familiar and new block their path as Seidou fights its way back toward the top, one game at a time. With the team depending on them more than ever, Furuya and Eijun must take the mound with every ounce of their skill and power to lead their teammates to victory. And this season, one of these young pitchers may finally lay claim to that long-awaited title: "The Ace of Seidou."
In this installment
The legendary Koshien Stadium, called the "field of dreams," is where high school baseball players pursue their aspirations. After winning the autumn tournament last year, Seidou High's baseball team has qualified for Koshien for the first time in seven years. The spring competition serves as a prelude to the ultimate challenge: the Summer Koshien, which crowns the nation's best team. With the seniors leaving following the summer tournament, the squad must combine the experienced players' skills with the potential of the promising newcomers to overcome both familiar and fresh rivals and claim the national title. Meanwhile, pitcher Eijun Sawamura remains determined to secure jersey number 1 and claim the "ace" role from his longtime rival, Satoru Furuya. As the team prepares for their most difficult challenge, Sawamura and Furuya continue their battle to guide their team to victory and prove themselves as the true "Ace of the Diamond."
