Synopsis

In the artificial sanctuary of Tsukimihara Academy—a school constructed by the Moon Cell system to host the next Holy Grail War—reside 256 souls projected from Earth, selected for their hidden potential to become "Masters." Among them, 128 are chosen to compete in the central contest and are granted a Servant. Following the selection, the Academy begins a purge to eliminate the others. Hakuno Kishinami regains consciousness lying in a pool of his own blood, determined not to die. Driven by an inexplicable fury, he swears to survive. While fleeing a relentless pursuer, he discovers a crimson sword stuck in the ground; upon pulling it out, he calls forth his Servant, Saber, who destroys the enemy amidst a shower of rose petals. Armed with his newfound power, Hakuno sets out on a journey to reach the core of the Moon Cell, the Angelica Cage, where he hopes to uncover the mystery of this manufactured world and the truths behind his bloody past.
