Synopsis
Continues the story of Fate/Extra: Last Encore
In the artificial sanctuary of Tsukimihara Academy—a school constructed by the Moon Cell system to host the next Holy Grail War—reside 256 souls projected from Earth, selected for their hidden potential to become "Masters." Among them, 128 are chosen to compete in the central contest and are granted a Servant. Following the selection, the Academy begins a purge to eliminate the others. Hakuno Kishinami regains consciousness lying in a pool of his own blood, determined not to die. Driven by an inexplicable fury, he swears to survive. While fleeing a relentless pursuer, he discovers a crimson sword stuck in the ground; upon pulling it out, he calls forth his Servant, Saber, who destroys the enemy amidst a shower of rose petals. Armed with his newfound power, Hakuno sets out on a journey to reach the core of the Moon Cell, the Angelica Cage, where he hopes to uncover the mystery of this manufactured world and the truths behind his bloody past.
In this installment
After conquering the six lower levels and defeating each Floor Master, Hakuno Kishinami and Saber ascend to the highest point of the Moon Cell in Fate/Extra: Last Encore - Illustrias Geocentric Theory. Their final opponent is Leonardo B. Harwey, the most powerful Master ever recorded in the Holy Grail War and the reigning champion, widely admired. When they arrive in a field of flowers spread across floating islands, Hakuno, Saber, and Rin Toosaka encounter a mysterious figure in a hood tending to the blooms. Saber instantly readies her weapon against the cloaked man, who introduces himself as Prince Gawain, the Platinum Saber and a Knight of the Round Table. Gawain, however, declares he has no desire to fight, prompting the group to consider the many possible outcomes of the Holy Grail. Hakuno resolves to return the Moon Cell to its original purpose. Their conversation is interrupted by a distant noise echoing through the air. Recognizing its significance, Gawain warns them that time is running short. He then guides them to the final arena, where the two Sabers will clash in a decisive battle that will decide humanity's fate.
