Synopsis
A special recap episode compiling footage from episodes 48 onward, accompanied by previously recorded audio that had not been aired before. The concept behind this special was a potential true ending conceived by the Eureka Seven staff. In March 2012, Studio BONES decided to take existing footage from the TV series and pair it with new, never-before-broadcast audio, airing the result together for the first time on television. The audio for episode 51 reveals that Eureka must embark on a journey to scatter seven fragments of her soul across the land in order to pacify it. Ultimately, Eureka and Renton are forced to separate, but Renton promises that they will meet again someday, no matter what. Episode 51 has no connection whatsoever to the sequel Eureka Seven AO, as this was an actual ending that was never used during the original television run of the series. Eureka Seven AO continues from the events depicted in episode 50: Wish Upon a Star.
