In this installment
In the celestial realm, many deities keep their distance from the neglected Xie Lian, but Heavenly Emperor Jun Wu continues to stand by him. Despite Xie Lian's persistently bad luck, his circumstances grow even worse when doubts arise that his recent companion might be the infamous Ghost King, Hua Cheng. Ignoring these suspicions, Xie Lian holds onto Hua Cheng's promise that they will reunite and reveal his true identity. Jun Wu then brings troubling news: a distress signal has come from the bustling Ghost City, which is under Hua Cheng's sole control. Determined, Xie Lian ventures into the Ghost City to search for the missing deity. There, he encounters the real Hua Cheng. Although Hua Cheng is considered the most fearsome being in the three realms, he shows humility before Xie Lian. Without revealing his reasons, Hua Cheng uses every resource at his disposal to ease the constant misfortunes that haunt Xie Lian's life.
