Ling Wen, revered as Ling Wen Zhen Jun, is the preeminent Civil Goddess of the Heavenly Court and one of the infamous Three Tumors. At over eight hundred years old, she is renowned for her unmatched competence and efficiency. While she maintains a professional, emotionless demeanor and appears polite and composed in most situations, she possesses a dry, sarcastic wit that becomes particularly evident around her close friends, Xie Lian, Pei Ming, and Shi Wudu. With Pei Ming and Shi Wudu, she can be ruthlessly teasing, laughing at their misfortunes while simultaneously showing genuine affection and concern for their well-being. Her Palace of Ling Wen hosts numerous temples, yet most revere her as a male deity. This disguise stems from the widespread bias that women are unfit for high-ranking civil posts, being relegated to menial tasks like grinding ink or looking pretty. Consequently, Ling Wen is despised by other civil gods, who maliciously speculate that she secured her position through boot-licking, seduction, or cross-dressing.
