Soul Eater NOT!

Synopsis

Taking place one year before the events of the main Soul Eater storyline, Soul Eater NOT! functions as both a spin-off and a companion story. At the Death Weapon Meister Academy, people born with the ability to transform into weapons train alongside their potential partners, called Meisters, in order to refine their natural abilities. In the primary series, students belong to the Especially Advantaged Talent class, where they are prepared to serve as protectors of justice and face dangers that threaten lives and the world. However, other DWMA students have weaker gifts. Those categorized as Normally Overcome Targets focus more on learning to control their powers than on combat training. One such student is Tsugumi Harudori, a newcomer who can turn into a halberd. She becomes friends with Meisters Meme Tatane and Anya Hepburn, and struggles with deciding which one should become her partner. As they adjust to academy life and grow their skills, their everyday experiences demonstrate that being a student here is far from normal.
