Continues the story of Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi - World's Greatest First Love
In "World's Greatest First Love," Ritsu Onodera, a proud literary editor tired of being resented at work because of his father's influence, leaves his family's publishing company and joins Marukawa Publishing to build his own reputation. He is surprised to find himself hired as a rookie manga editor in the fast-paced Emerald division. There, he meets Masamune Takano, the notoriously strict editor-in-chief known for his relentless pursuit of success. Ritsu soon realizes that Takano was his first love from high school, a relationship that ended painfully and left Ritsu cautious about romantic involvement. After their unexpected reunion, Takano is determined to win Ritsu's heart again. The story of "Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi" centers on three interconnected couples in the manga industry, each dealing with the challenges of their first loves.

In "World's Greatest First Love 2," first love proves to be far from straightforward. Ritsu Onodera continues to face difficulties in his role as a shoujo manga editor at the prestigious Marukawa Publishing House, particularly under the strict guidance of the highly skilled Masamune Takano. Adding to the tension, Masamune—who happened to be Ritsu's first love during middle school—announces his determination to win Ritsu's heart once more. Elsewhere, editor Yoshiyuki Katori keeps his relationship with the renowned manga artist Chiaki Yoshino a secret from their coworkers. Chiaki remains unaware that his old high school friend, Yuu Yanase, harbors romantic feelings for him that go beyond friendship. Meanwhile, steadfast yet affectionate Hatori refuses to let his love be lost without a fight. Finding new love at thirty brings its own difficulties. Editor Shouta Kisa is involved with 21-year-old art student Kou Yukina. Despite Yukina's repeated reassurances, Kisa constantly questions whether he truly deserves such a lively and young partner.
