Summary

Mr. Popo is an immortal djinn who resides eternally on Kami's Lookout alongside Kami, serving as the guardian’s dedicated gardener and caretaker. His duties extend back to the beginning of time, having served every previous Kami and Guardian of the Earth. Under the tutelage of the current Kami, Popo trained Goku for three years to prepare him for his battle against Piccolo. In Dragon Ball, Popo demonstrates exceptional mastery in martial arts. Upon his introduction at the Lookout, his combat skills are depicted as far superior to Goku’s in almost every aspect. To help the Z fighters withstand the impending threat of the Saiyans, Mr. Popo and Kami train Krillin, Tien Shinhan, Yamcha, Chiaotzu, and Yajirobe using various methods, including the Pendulum Room, aiming to unlock the full power previously exhibited by even the lower-class Saiyans. During this period, the two deities realize that Piccolo has significantly diminished his evil nature compared to five years prior, a conclusion drawn from the observation that Raditz’s soul, killed by Piccolo, did not become lost like the souls of those slain by other demons.
