Tsugumi Project Anime Teases Post-Apocalyptic Survival Spectacle

The television anime adaptation of Tsugumi Project by mangaka ippatu has officially launched with a striking teaser visual and promotional video that immediately evoke the manga's intense, high-stakes atmosphere.
More than two centuries after nuclear devastation turned the land once known as Japan into a sealed-off wasteland of lethal radiation and grotesque mutated beasts, the story centers on Leon, a soldier wrongfully convicted and torn from his family. Sent on a suicide mission to retrieve a mysterious weapon codenamed Tsugumi, he must navigate this deadly forbidden zone or perish in the attempt, encountering bizarre creatures and a enigmatic taloned girl along the way.
East Fish Studio is producing the series under director Osamu Honma, with Yoko Yonaiyama handling the screenplay and Haruka Sagawa on character design. Early cast announcements have already surfaced, generating buzz for how the manga's detailed ruined cityscapes and brutal action will come alive in animation.
First published in France by Ki-oon before its 2021-2023 run in Kodansha's Weekly Young Magazine, the complete seven-volume series built a strong following for its spectacular artwork and relentless survival tension. No premiere window has been confirmed yet, but the new official site and X account are already fueling excitement among fans eager for more updates.
